Convert the lineal feet to lineal metres, then multiply the width in metres, giving the square dimension in metres.Eg: You have a combined length of timbers totalling 300 feet and each length is 10" wide.In metric, that would be, 100 metres total length with a width of .25m. Multiply 100 by .25, givng the answer of 25 square metres.

None, since there can be no conversion.

A linear (or lineal) metre is a measure of length in 1-dimensional space. A square foot is a measure of area in 2-dimensional space. The two measure different things and, according to basic principles of dimensional analysis, any attempt at conversion from one to the other is fundamentally flawed.
