Draw a triangle?
A pyramid cut in half refers to a geometric shape resulting from slicing a pyramid through its apex and base, creating two identical halves. Each half retains the triangular faces of the original pyramid but is now a triangular prism with a base that mirrors the base of the pyramid. This cut can help visualize the internal structure of the pyramid and is often used in mathematical discussions or architectural designs.
It has 156 cubic inches

It is called a frustum.
It will be a square shape if it is a squared based pyramid
You could make it out of cardboard then to make it more realistic use a/n empty carton of eggs and cut out the little bump on the bottom then pate it onto the pyramid then paint it and there you go
to make a model of a food pyramid take a cardboard and cut it in 3 triangles and then make a triangle shape with those triangles, then go to the web and search pic of foodpyramid

How to make a pyramid out of poster board?
The best way to cut thick cardboard using a cardboard cutter is to first measure and mark the cutting line, then firmly hold the cardboard in place and carefully guide the cutter along the marked line using a straight edge as a guide. Be sure to apply even pressure and make multiple passes if needed to ensure a clean cut.
Not exactly. A frustum would be a pyramid with the apex cut off. A truncated pyramid would be a pyramid with all vertices cut off.
Into CARDBOARD? How thick of cardboard are you working with? Any decent sign shop can contour cut something like shirt cardboard, but corrugated is a different story. I would think hard about not using cardboard, though; there are cuttable plastics that will do a better job for you and not get frayed around the edges.
