1.asymtotes which include the following

-vertical

-horizontal

-oblique

given any question of rational funcion at least one must appear

2.for max and min. find the first derivative of f(x)

3.for concavity and inflection point find the second derivative and equate to zero f"(x)=0

from here any other idear of curve sketching is valid
