Usually it is two semi-circles with straight stretches "inserted" between them.
If the semicircles have radius r units, and the length of the straight sections is s units then
Area = pi*r2 + 2r*s square units.
No because the formula for finding the area of an oval, which is an ellipse, is quite different
The area of a rug does not provide enough information to determine its dimensions. For a start, it is not even possible to determine the shape of the rug: circular, oval, square, rectangular or some other shape.
the formula for calculating the surface area of an oval is A = Pi * a * b where a & b are the semimajor(half the long) and semiminor(half the short) axes

"Oval" can be a variety of shapes. I suggest you use the equation for the area of an ellipse. Assume some convenient ratio of length-to-width.
To calculate the area of a half oval, you can use the formula A = (π * r^2) / 2, where A is the area and r is the radius of the oval. First, determine the radius of the half oval. Then, square the radius and multiply it by π. Finally, divide the result by 2 to find the area of the half oval.

The Iowa Speedway racetrack is an oval motor racing track that is 7/8 miles or 1.4 km. The track is located in Newton, Iowa and patterned after the Richmond International Raceway.

yes I live in it. WE live in little oval egg cars

An oval, or more technically an ellipse, has a long ( major) axis and short (minor axis). If major axis length is a and minor length is b, then area, A is A = pi*a*b /4 where and so the area of half an oval is pi*a*b/8
I worked in the kitchen there 1963-4 and was born on the corner at Las Campanas Hospital 1947. The grounds were originally the horse stables for the Dominguez ranch. The central area was an oval racetrack. Beautiful landscaped grounds, sad to see it all gone now.
