if you mean how do you divide BY ten thousand, then the general idea is that you move the decimal place of whatever you are dividing ten thousand into 4 places to the left. for example: 50561/1000 = 5.0561

There are two ways, they are actually the same way, just two different way to express it.

Take 5/10000, just reduce it to there no common factor (irreducible form), which is 1/2000, you have an answer

OR

move you decimal exactly n times, where n is the number of 0 in 10000000.....0000, to the left. So in this case, 4. It becomes 0.0005.

Note: The method below only work for 100000s, not 200000s, or any other k000000s. But you can always rewrite k0000000s as k x 10000000s, where you can divide it by k separately after you do the trick.
