circumference of a circle = 2*pi*radius or pi*diameter
Circumference of a circle = 2*pi*radius or pi*diameter
It would be the radious squared times pi R2xpi (3.14) * * * * * The text is wrong, the formula is correct. The circumfernce is 2*π*radius or, since the diameter is double the radius, circumference = π*d π is an irrational number which is approximately 3.14
Divide the circumference by pi (~3.14) to get the diameter.
Circumference = 2Пr = 2 x 3.14159 x 3.5/2 = 10.995565
Divide the circumference by Pi (3.14159), and that will give you the diameter. Divide that number by 2 to find the radius.
circumference of a circle = 2*pi*radius or pi*diameter

the formula for the circumference is... C = 2 * (3.14159) * r (r in this equation is the radius) since you know what your circumference is all you do is put it on the left side of the equation for C. then you divide both the 2 and 3.14159 on both sides and then you have only r on the right side and you have your answer.
Divide the circumference by pi (~3.14) to get the diameter.
Circumfernce = 2*pi*r So 2*pi*r = 60*pi r = 30 units of length.
Circumfernce = 5*pithat is, circumference = pi*d = 5*pi where d is the diameter.Therefore, circumference = 5 millimetres and so radius = d/2 = 2.5 mm.Now that the radius is known, area = pi*r^2 = 19.6 mm^2.
Circumference = 2 pi R = 24 piR = C / (2 pi) = (24 pi) / (2 pi) = 12
Circumference = 2Пr = 2 x 3.14159 x 3.5/2 = 10.995565
you can use 2 formulas... 2 x pi x radius or pi x diameter - dont forget that pi is always 3.14 unlsess said otherwise. :) hope this has helped.......
