Just like any other average. (1) Add the times. (2) Divide the results in this case by 2, since there are 2 different times.
Here is an example: Average of 3:40 and 1:30. Adding the times, you get: 4:70. Convert 60 seconds into one minute, and add to the minutes: 5:10. Divide by 2: half of 5 is 2, remainder 1 minute. (Convert this to 60 seconds again, and add to the remaining seconds. 70 seconds / 2 = 35 seconds, so the final result is 2:35. (In this particular case, you might avoid converting 60 seconds to 1 minute and back again, and thus saved some steps. But you can't always avoid this.)
3.75 min or 3min 45sec.
3min = 180s 180s + 24s = 204s
14 min + 3 min 30 sec _______________ 17 min 30 sec
2 km is equivalent to 2,000 meters. So divide 2,000 by the students speed of 5m/sec. 2,000/5 = 400. So it takes him 400 sec, or 6 2/3min, or 6min 40sec.
Many people have done it, and everybody came up with a different answer. This was such a mysterious and unexpected result that Congress appropriated $4 million to NASA for a research project to determine why there were so many different answers. Eventually, NASA scientists were able to prove a new law of physics that exactly applied to this question, and astounded everybody. They called a press conference to announce their findings: "It depends on how fast you walk" ! Here are some randomly chosen speeds, and the corresponding time for 0.18 miles: 1 mile per hour: 10 minutes 48 seconds 2 mph: 5min 24sec 3 mph: 3min 36sec 4 mph: 2min 42sec 5 mph: 2min 9.6sec 1 furlong per fortnight: 2weeks 6days 3hours 50min 24sec
5 hours and 3min
that depends on how much film you have
3min 20sec
3min. 36sec.
3.75 min or 3min 45sec.
3min 35seconds
It is 300 m per min.
167 MILES. 2hrs and 3min
3min = 180s 180s + 24s = 204s
My guess would be about 3min 47 seconds
less than 10 min. for me it only took 3min
well mine is about my falling and saying random things.... hope you do good! =)
