Of a circle
you multiply the radius by two to find the diameter
then you use the formula for circumference which is: diameter times pi
pi is usually used as 3.14 because the real number goes of forever (3.14159265358979323...)
The person who gave us the value of pi you got that answer off a calculator you DO NOT USE A PI BUTTON ON A CALCULATOR because all calculators have a digit limit and you may get a number that is smaller or larger than that number since Pi is indefinate there is no other way that humans can configure pi without using 3.14 or 22/7 just wanted to say that :)
Divide the circumference by 2PI to find the radius. ( C = 2PI*Radius)
find the radius of a circle with circumference of 42.1
The Circumference of a circle is twice the Radius x Pi (π) OR C = π x 2R ... (2 x Radius) x Pi (π) = Circumference The value of π is taken to be 3.142
To find the circumference of a circle, use the equation: Circumference = 2*π*radius so when the radius is r, the circumference is 2πr
Diameter = circumference/pi Radius = circumference/2*pi
If you know the circumference of a circle, you can find the radius by dividing the circumference by the value of Pi (3.14159...)
Divide the circumference by the value of Pi, then halve that result.
Divide the circumference by 2PI to find the radius. ( C = 2PI*Radius)
Circumference = 2*pi*radius So Radius = Circumference/(2*pi)
Circumference = pi x diameter = pi x 2 x Radius (By definition - Step 1) So Radius = (Circumference)/(pi x 2), (find Radius - Step 2) Area = pi x Radius x Radius, (substitute value or radius obtained in step 2)
find the radius of a circle with circumference of 42.1
Well, isn't that a happy little question! To find the radius of a circle when you know the circumference, you can use the formula: radius = circumference / (2 * π). So, if the circumference is 75.36, you can plug that into the formula and find the radius. Just remember, there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents in math!
Dividing the circumference by 2*pi will give the value of the radius.
6 37.68/(2 x pi)
Circumference = 2 x Pi x Radius Radius = Circumference / (2 x Pi).
