Technically, it's not a square unless all of the sides have equal lengths. But, anyway, to find the perimeter of any shape that has no curves or breaks, just add the lengths together.
7+7+5+5=24cm
Hope that helps.
you tube videos Alternatively: If the cubes edges are 5cm long, then you can find: a) its total surface area (of the 6 square faces) = 5cmx5cmx6 = 150 square centimetres b) its volume by multiplying length by breadth by height = 5cm x 5cm x 5cm =125cc (cubic centimetres c) the total length of all of its edges, of which there are 12 measuring 5cm each = 12 x 5cm = 60cm
It is 25 square cm
Multiply them. 25 square cm
20cm/4sides = 5cm 5cm*5cm = 25cm^2
Just like any other rectangle.Multiply the length by the width.5cm x 5cm = 25 cm2

Multiply the length of any side by itself ("square" it). To find the are of any rectangle, including a square you multiply the length by the width, e.g. if it is a 5cm square the area is 5x5=25cm2. If it's a rectangle with a 3cm x 5cm the area is 3x5 = 15cm2.
9cm + 5cm + 9cm + 5cm = 28cm
25 square centimetres !
4 x 5cm = 20cm
