I have been doing research, and I found there in no way to use a calculator.
But, I will list some shapes, and their lines of symmetry.
Hexagon,6 lines
pentagon,5 lines
square,4
octagon,8
circle,never ending/to many to count
decagon,10
Notice that the lines of symmetry have the same number as the number of corners.
Example, octagon; eight corners, eight sides, eight lines of symmetry.
It is like that with all shapes that have sides that are the same lengths.
So it has to be a regular shape.
Example, it can't be a flat tire( one line of symmetry, 0 sides, and 0 corners).

It would be hard to find a line of symmetry on a moon, as it is likely to be irregularly shaped.
You can flip the traced version along various lines. If the flipped shape matches the original then the that is a line of symmetry. Alternatively, if you can find a fold such that the two halves of the tracing match then the fold line is a line of symmetry.
A symmetrical shape is said to have line symmetry. A shape that has line symmetry can have one or more lines of symmetry
There are an infinite number of lines of symmetry in a circle, as any diameter will be a line of symmetry and there are an infinite number of angle measure for that line to pass through.
what makes a line of symmetry is that it has to be shared equel. That is what makes a line of symmetry.
