What you are trying to find is the average or mean. You find this by adding all the numbers in a set together and divide by the amount of numbers you added.
Example: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3. Find the average (mean).
Add all the numbers in the set together: 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 12
Divide by the amount of numbers you added: You added together 6 numbers: 12 ÷ 6 = 2.
Mean of {1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3} = 2.
Take the average of the two middle numbers.
Average them.
first you list the numbers in order then eliminate the numbers from the left side then right side until you get to the middle. If you do not find the middle then you add the 2 numbers and divide by 2
you put the #s in numerical order (from biggest to smallest) then find the # in the middle. If there are 2 in the middle then you find the average of them
The median of data means the middle number. The easiest way to find it is to put the numbers in order, then go from side to side crossing number out until you find the middle one. If you are stuck with 2 in the middle, then find the number in between those two numbers!
Take the average of the two middle numbers.
Average them.
Add the two middle numbers and divide your answer by 2

what do you do when you do when you have 2 middle numbers????
List the numbers from least to greatest. Count in from both ends the same times and you will note there is no middle number, but 2 middle numbers. Take the average of the 2 middle numbers and that is the mean of the set.
Take the two numbers in the middle and divide by 2 ( that is the average of those two middle numbers). For example if the two middle numbers are 7 and11 the median is 9
you put the #s in numerical order (from biggest to smallest) then find the # in the middle. If there are 2 in the middle then you find the average of them
take the 2 middle numbers, add them together, then divide by 2 and that number is your median.
You put the number from greater to least and find the middle number but if there are 2 middle numbers add them together and divide them by 2 and there your answer.
the median is the middle value of a set of numbers. Thus if you wanted to find the median of a group of numbers, you can organize them in numerical order, and find which is the middle term (if it is an even set of numbers, in which you have two middle numbers, add the two together and than divide it by 2).
if there are to numbers left add the numbers together and divide by 2
