when trying to find factors always start dividing with a low number. start with 2.

18/2 = 9 (remember 2 is a factor)

9/2 = 4.5 (cant use this.. now go to three)

9/3 = 3 (remember 3 is a factor)

3/2 = 1.5 (cant use this)

3/3 = 1 (once you get to one you have finished)

2 * 3 * 3 = 18
