∙ 12y agoIf the first number is negative, you go left. If the first number is positive, you go right.
Negative five is at five units to the left of the origin while one fourth is a quarter of a unit to the right.
in your question it is on the right but on a number line it is right from zero.
two one fourth the two is bigger than the one fourth so it comes last and the one fourth comes first.
You know by which one is further but I think what you mean to ask is how do you know how much it's greater and if that's what you ment the the difference between the two arrows is the answer

One fourth is a real number; you can easily place it on the number line.
5
If the first number is negative, you go left. If the first number is positive, you go right.
If you have a number line, and you start at zero then one fourth would go after the zero. Ex: <0 1/4---I----II----III---->
The note D is on the second line from the top or the fourth line from the bottom.
Negative five is at five units to the left of the origin while one fourth is a quarter of a unit to the right.
two one fourth the two is bigger than the one fourth so it comes last and the one fourth comes first.

Put 7.55 on the first line. Put x52 on the second line. Put 1510 on the third line. Put 37750 on the fourth line. Put 392.60 on the fifth line. Underscore the second and fourth lines.
