How do you make equivalent ratios?

If you have a ratio of 1:3

Then an equivalent ratio is 2: 6

That is multiply both numbers by '2'

Similarly

1 : 5

Multiply by 'n'

Hence

n: 5n

Or say a ratiod of 3 : 7 becomes 3n : 7n
