Fill the 4 liter with water and empty into the 3 liter, leaving one liter in the 4 liter receptacle. Dump the 3 liter water, and pour the remaining one liter from the 4 liter into the 3 liter. Fill the four liter and dump into 3 liter until full. You now have added two liters to the 3 liter receptacle and 2 liters remain in the 4 liter receptacle.
It's the same puzzle from Die Hard 3, except you have to do it twice. First, use the eight liter jar to fill the three liter and dump it into the five liter. Now fill the three liter again and use it to fill the five liter up to the top. This leaves one liter in the three liter jar. Empty the five liter back into the eight and then dump the remaining milk in the three liter jar into the five liter. Fill the three liter again and dump it into the five liter. Now you have four liters in the five liter jar, and four liters are left in the eight liter jar.

Pour the contents of the 5 cup jar into the stock bottle and pour the contents of the 3 cup jar into the 5 cup jar (1 cup). Fill up the 3 cup jar once more then add it to the contents of the 5 cup jar to have a total volume of 4 cups in the 5 cup jar.
