1) First make 4 and 1/4 a top heavy fraction by multiplying the denominator by the full number and adding the answer to the numerator. This should give you 17/4.

2) Put 17/4 over 6

3) As you can't have a fraction over a fraction, as 6 equals 6/1, make 6/1 a reciprocal. In other words put the bottom number on the top and the top on the bottom. This should give you 1/6.

4) Now, multiply 17/4 by 1/6

This should give you 17/24 which cannot be simplified as 17 is a Prime number.

So 17 over 24 is your answer :)
