I know that when reading IP addresses correlated to computers the decimal point is referred to as a "dot." Otherwise I believe it is just "point," as in three point three percent . . .?

For example 1234.56 is one thousand two hundred thirty four and fifty six hundredths.
Three and four hundred fifty-three thousandths.
0.608 is read as zero point six zero eight.
0.2415 is read as " zero point two four one five". This is so because after decimal point, we read the individual numbers, not the number as a whole.
The word form for 0.5 is "zero point five" or "five tenths" or "one half". The decimal form for 0.5 is " 0.5 ".
