To reset the tripometer in a Chevrolet Prism, locate the trip odometer button on the dashboard, usually near the speedometer. Press and hold this button until the trip odometer resets to zero. Release the button, and the tripometer should now be set back to zero. If your model has a different setup, consult the owner’s manual for specific instructions.

A tripometer is a device used in vehicles to measure the distance traveled during a specific trip or journey. It can be reset to zero, allowing drivers to track mileage for individual trips separately from the total odometer reading. Tripometers are commonly found in cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, providing valuable information for fuel efficiency and navigation.

To reset the computer on a 2002 Chevy Prism, you can disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave it disconnected for about 15 minutes. This allows the vehicle's computer to reset. After reconnecting the terminal, start the car and let it idle for a few minutes to allow the computer to recalibrate. Alternatively, you can use an OBD-II scanner to clear any error codes directly.
