-8u1/16 (how it would be written in a calcuator) make it into an improper fraction first. to do that, first don't worry about the negative. Then, multiply 8 x 16.

It happens to equal 128. add 128 and the 1 in the numerator. You get 129.

This means that the fraction is -129/16, and since those are not divisible by each, it's already in it's simplest form. (Most people prefer leaving it in an improper fraction, the method I showed. However, if you are in a lower math level, leaving it as a mixed fraction should be just fine)
