She gave three to her sister,then she has ......4 In multiplication word problems, they tell you the value of one article and ask you to find the value of more. eg: One pen costs 10. Find the cost of 5 pens. Then the answer is 5x10=50 In division word problems, they tell you the value of many article and ask you to find the value of one article. eg: Ten pens cost 50. find the cost of 1 pen. Then the answer is 50/10 = 5
