First you find the l.c.m. of the dinomenator that is 2 and 4 which is 4. Then take 4 as the new dinomenator. First you divide 4 by 2 which is 2 and multiply 2 with 1 which is 2. Do the same with the second fraction as done above. Now subtract the numinator ,2-3 which is -1. The bigger no. has the minus sign that is why it is -1. So the answer is -1/4. If you have'nt learn the method in the previous line then it is 1/4.
