By placing the decimal over the numerator and putting 1 with zeros in the denominators. If the decimal has 7 numbers next to the decimal then put 7 zeros for the denominator. For instance, .34 turns into

34

100 (sorry i can't put a line in there)

Here's another example:

.5352653524=

5352653524

1000000000

So the number of decimals is the same number of zeros

sometimes you have to simplify them of course if you have to show work sometimes
