BODMAS is a mnenomic for helping remember the order for dealing with mathematical operators in a mathematic statement.

First - brackets, then order (powers), then division, multiplication, addition and finally subtraction.

Resolving an equation following this will give a different result than a random order. e.g. 3x1+4(8/2)=19 not 60 nor 28 nor anything else.

Is the maths word bodmas or bidmas?

Both "BODMAS" and "BIDMAS" refer to the same mathematical order of operations, which dictates the sequence in which calculations should be performed. "BODMAS" stands for Brackets, Orders (like powers and square roots), Division, Multiplication, Addition, and Subtraction, while "BIDMAS" replaces "Orders" with "Indices." The use of either term may vary by region, but they convey the same concept.

What does O means in BODMAS rule?
