Type 5 in B3 and 6 in C3
Type this formula in A1 "=B3+C3*15" (without the quotes) and 95 is the answer.
Because Order of Operation (PEMDAS) was not used, C3*15 was done first.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Using PEMDAS:
Type this formula in A3 "=(B3+C3)*15" and 165 is the answer.
This is because (B3+C3) is done first, and then the multiplication is done last - giving the correct answer.

PEMDAS is an acronym of the order in which operations must be carried out: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Divisin, Addition and Subtraction. You cannot use PEMDAS to multiply, since it is not an operation. give an example.
Infintismal calc is the combination of intergral calc and differential calc
Mostly in Calc III you deal with them, not so much in Calc II and none in Calc I

As a long time user of LibreOffice (mainly writer and calc) I can see no disadvantages. It is a complete office suit, and is free - two very good advantages.
Calc (LibreOffice) and Excel (Microsoft) Lotus 1-2-3 (IBM) are all spreadsheet applications.
A simple example is that in LibreOffice Calc (spreadsheet program) type in any cell, the formula: "=SUM(2+3)" (without the quotes) and the answer will appear on pressing enter. If by equation you mean something like: "y + 9 = 15" then the value of y could be put in A1 and called with, in B1: "=A1+9" So A1 would be 6. If you didn't mean Calc, then more info is needed as to which LibreOffice program you mean.
A spreadsheet is the main type of software that will do this. It can be done with others, most notably a database.
OpenOffice.org Calc is the spreadsheet component of the OpenOffice.org software package.Calc is similar to Microsoft Excel, with a roughly equivalent range of features. Calc is capable of opening and saving most spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel file format. It provides a number of features not present in Excel, including a system that automatically defines series for graphing based on the layout of the user's data. Calc is also capable of writing spreadsheets directly as PDF files. The default file format for OpenOffice.org Calc (versions 2.x and 3.x) can be set to either Microsoft Excel's native file format or the international standard OpenDocument Format (ODF) ISO/IEC 26300:2006. Calc also supports a wide range of other file formats, for both opening and saving files, such as CSV, HTML, SXC, DBF, DIF, UOF, SLK, SDC and others.[1]As with the entire OpenOffice.org suite, Calc can be used across a variety of platforms, including Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris. Available under the GNU Lesser General Public License, Calc is free software.A fork of the OpenOffice product is LibreOffice which has continued development since Oracle stopped. Apache has started a new (resumed) development of Open Office but as of June 2012 it has not yet reached LibreOffice functionality.

Whichever OpenOffice (also the newer LibreOffice) is used (Writer, Calc, Draw, etc) the Pi symbol is found in Insert > special Character. Choose the Pi symbol and close. Π
LibreOffice Impress does presentations, and is one part of the free, full LibreOffice Suit.
LibreOffice Writer is the word-processor, and is one part of the free, full LibreOffice Suit.
use a calc.
This is because the are supported only by libreoffice draw.
PEMDAS is used for math and is normally taught at a 4th-5th grade level. PEMDAS is used to remember the order of normally a 5th grade equation: Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.
