One easy way to do that is to read the number out loud, and write down
what you hear yourself saying.
When you read "0.05", you should hear yourself say "five hundredths".
When you hear that, you can immediately write down 5/100 and you have a fraction.
If you want to, you can simplify the fraction, and get 1/20 .
5 __ 10 Fraction .05 decimal If its: 5 __ 100 Fraction .005 Decimal
no one half is 0.5 one half percent =.005
It is 005 percent!
x - 0.5% = 500x - .005 = 500x - .005 + .005 = 500 + .005x = 500.005Check:x = 500.005500.005 - 0.5% = 500500.005 - .005 = 500500 = 500So x - 0.5% = 500 when x is .005.
Divide by 100. For example, 1/2% of 600 apples = .5% of 600 = .005 * 600 = 3 apples
0.005 = 1/200 as a fraction in its simplest terms
