Assuming you mean $175.00 on a 'cheque/check' , not the spelling.

On the check you make five entries.

#1 ; date the check, with the date that you are writing the cheque/check.

#2 ; write in the name of the person/business that is being paid.

#3 ; write( in words) 'One hundred and seventy five dollars, and no cents ( .00 c)

#4 ; Write in figures '$175.00c'.

#5 ; Sign the check ; that is write you usual signature.

NB Do NOT back date the check , as it will be refused by the bank ; 'bounced'.

'Back dating' means to write a date that has NOT yet occured. . e.g. Today is the 14 th February 2025. so do NOT write a date such as '28 March 2025, as this date has not occured.
