One third in figures is '1/3' (fraction) or 0.333.... (decimal).
1. As a decimal value, write: .3 (with a horizontal line above the 3 or by writing (repeating)) 2. As a percentage, write: 33.3% or 33.3 percent (with a horizontal line above the 3 that is to the right of the decimal point or by writing (repeating))
1 1/3 as a decimal = 1.333
One third = 1/3 = 0.333...
33 1/3 = 33.333... (with the 3 repeating forever) The correct mathematical notation is to write 33 1/3 as 33.3 and put a dot over the 3 after the decimal point to show it repeats.
1 3rd converted to a decimal = 0.33333...1/3:= 1 ÷ 3= 0.33333... in decimal
The decimal for 1/3 is 0.333333333333 repeating forever.
1 divided by 3 = 1 / 3 = 0.33333333...
1/3
1/3 = 0.333333333..........3
It is: 3/24 = 1/8 which is 0.125 as a decimal
one third is the same as 1 __ 3 1/3
1/3 = 0.3333 repeating
0.3(recurring) .3 repeating
(1/3)
Two and three thirds is three so you write it as 3. And 3 is also how you write it as a decimal: nothing more, nothing less. There is no need for a decimal point and there should certainly not be any trailing 0s.
