A mixed number is a whole number added to a fraction.

Starting with ' 3 ', once you write the whole number, there is nothing left

to write as a fraction. The only way to supply a fraction is to create one

that's actually equal to zero.

Here's one: 30/41

Of course, that's ridiculous. The real answer is ... there's no reason why

you should be able to write every number as a mixed number. The whole

numbers can't be.
