A mixed number is a whole number plus a fraction. Really, a percent should seldom be a mixed number, because any percent less than 100% is less than 1 whole thing, so there wouldn't be any whole number. But once in a while you do run into a percent that's more than 100%, so here's the general process. Let's do 567%. First take the biggest number of hundreds that fit into the percent, that is, take away hundreds until you're left with less than 100. In the example, that's 500. Five hundred percent means five whole things, so the whole-number part of the mixed number is 5. Now we have 67% left. This will be the fraction part of the mixed number. Writing the fraction is easy. The remaining number of percent is the numerator of the fraction, and the denominator is '100'. So the mixed number for 567% is: 5 and 67/100.
