The X's represent a shaded square, the O's an unshaded one.
The shaded part of a 10-by-10 grid can be represented as a fraction of the total grid area. For example, if 30 out of the 100 squares in the grid are shaded, then the shaded portion can be expressed as 30/100, which simplifies to 3/10 or 30%. Additionally, this part can be visually identified by counting the number of shaded squares and comparing it to the total number of squares in the grid.
Well, two whole are 10 fifths, and add them to the 3 you allready have, you get 13 fifths.
40+3=43 so i shaded in 40 on the 10 by 10 grid an added 3 and thats how i found my answer:)
3/5 = 6/10 9/10 - 6/10 = 3/10
It is: 3/5+7/10 = 13/10 or as 1 and 3/10
Well, two whole are 10 fifths, and add them to the 3 you allready have, you get 13 fifths.
1 = 5 fifths 2 = 10 fifths 3 = 15 fifths 4 = 20 fifths

3 fifths is larger. 4 tenths is 0.4 , 3 fifths is 0.6
15 fifths. Because 5/5 (1) times 3 = 15/5. 1 whole = 5 fifths 2 wholes = 10 fifths 3 wholes = 15 fifths
40+3=43 so i shaded in 40 on the 10 by 10 grid an added 3 and thats how i found my answer:)
3/5 - 3/10 = 3/106/10 - 3/10 = 3/10

thirteen 2 = 10/5 then 10/5 + 3/5 = 13/5
0.6, 6 tenths, or 3 fifths
