Best Answer

a reflection is formed when rays of light bounces off an object onto a smooth shiny surface (such that light rays are reflected off at the same angles) and reflects off it into our eyes.

when the surface is rough there wouldn't be a reflection as lights rays from an object is reflected off the rough surface at different angles and does not enter our eyes

Where is the image formed when you look at something on the mirror?

The image is formed behind the mirror at the same distance as the object's reflection from the mirror's surface. This is due to reflection of light rays from the object off the mirror's surface.

Which angle in a reflection is created by the incoming wave?

The angle formed between the incident wave and the normal (perpendicular line) at the point of reflection is called the angle of incidence.

When and how do you get rainbows formed?

Rainbows are formed when sunlight is refracted, or bent, as it passes through raindrops in the air. This causes the white light to separate into its various colors, creating the arc of colors that we see in the sky. Rainbows are most commonly seen when there is a combination of sunlight and rain in the sky.

How many images will be formed if two mirrors placed at 60 degree angle?

Three images will be formed when two mirrors are placed at a 60 degree angle. The multiple reflection of light rays creates these images due to the angle of reflection.

What Reflection from a smooth surface?

When light hits a smooth surface, it reflects in a predictable manner called specular reflection. This type of reflection results in a clear and well-defined image being formed. Examples of smooth surfaces that exhibit specular reflection include mirrors and still water surfaces.

Why infinite images are formed when two mirrors are kept facing each other?

Due to multiple reflection!

What is the difference between regular reflection and diffuse reflection in terms of angles surfaces and images?

Regular reflection occurs on smooth surfaces where the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection, resulting in clear and well-defined images. Diffuse reflection occurs on rough surfaces where light is scattered in all directions, creating a blurry or matte appearance with no clear image formed.

Rainbows are formed when the sun breaks up moonlight?
