Four o'clocks (Mirabilis jalapa) typically take about 7 to 14 days to sprout after planting the seeds, depending on the growing conditions such as temperature and moisture. They thrive in warm soil, so planting them after the last frost and ensuring they receive sufficient water will help speed up germination. Once sprouted, they grow quickly and can produce flowers within a few months.

The saguaro cactus [Carnegiea gigantea] may sprout from seed within 2-4 weeks. But it'll take 40+ years for the cactus to sprout branches and flowers. During the first four decades of its life, it concentrates energizing photosynthetic products into such life supporting processes as growth and water intake.

It all depends on the brand of Peas your using. But on average it would take 4- 5 weeks to sprout. The best soil for planting the seeds is 'Top Soil'. You could get it at almost ANY HomeDepot. Its only $1.17. It has a lot of good reviews. I would know because I personally used it. Good Luck! Have Fun! =)
