If we take the dimensions of a quarter to get 1 inch wide and 1/16th of an inch thick. We can calculate how long it would be if they were stacked face to face. 1/16th of an inch * 1 million = (1million / 16) inches which is roughly .98 miles.

If you were to stack them side by side, then it would be 1 million inches, or 15.78 miles!
