1 gallon = 231 cubic inches Volume of the tank is (10 x 20 x 12) = 2,400 cubic inches The tank has a capacity of (2,400 / 231) = 10.39 gallons (rounded), but we have no way of knowing how many gallons are "in it".
500 / (16 x 12) = ~2.604 gallons/inch

According to "Parker Guns, The Old Reliable" by Ed Muderlak, Parker in 1937 at least one pair of Shotguns on a No. 1/2 frame. Each of the guns were fitted with both 12 & 20 gauge barrels. Each of the barrels were 24 inches. I have no record of the 8/10 interchangeable barrels but I do know that Parker had many request for a 10/12 combination for which they refused because of the extra metal needed to fit the two barrels at the breech, thereby making the gun one to two pounds heavier.

It depends on the AREA of the tank. If the tank has 4 x 4 feet sides, there is about 83 gallons in 10 inches. However if the tank is 4 x 12 there is almost 250 gallons in a 10 inch depth.

Pistol barrels range from 2" to 12", and almost every increment in between. Longer barrels increase accuracy, shorter barrels make for more compactness.

You look up the definition of a "barrel", for example the Wikipedia article on "barrel (unit)", decide which definition you want to use (there are several), check how many liters your chosen "barrel" has, then divide the 12 liters by this number.
