The New York Stock Exchange is normally open Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM New York time (EST/EDT or UTC-5/UTC-4). Between the 2nd Sun. of March & the 1st Sun. of Nov., that is 13:30-20:00 UTC, and between the 1st Sun. of Nov. & the 2nd Sun. of March, that is 14:30-21:00 UTC.

In addition to Saturdays and Sundays, the NYSE is also closed on the following dates:

  • January 1
  • January 2 when it falls on a Monday
  • the 3rd Monday of January
  • the 3rd Monday of February
  • Good Friday
  • the last Monday of May
  • July 3 when it falls on a Friday
  • July 4
  • July 5 when it falls on a Monday
  • the 1st Monday of September
  • the 4th Thursday of November
  • December 24 when it falls on a Friday
  • December 25
  • December 26 when it falls on a Monday
