If you want daily activities to be easy you need to weight train, and improve your cardiovascular endurance. This means weight training 2-3 times a week, and doing some sort of cardio 4-6 days a week....if you can manage this, you will improve your performance not only in everyday activities, but in sports, and other fitness related components of your life.
You can do aerobics or any type of cardio exercises that aim to improve your respiratory system. Walking, jogging, running, cycling, rowing, stair climbing, elliptical training, swimming, aerobic dance, skating, jumping rope, skiing, racquet sports, basketball, and volleyball are all good activities which will help improve your respiratory fitness. You should do your choice of these activities at least 3 days a week for at least 20 minutes each time.
