A curved edge and a straight edge which makes two edges
None, circles aren't straight lines.
Half a sphere, which is a 3D shape, is called a hemisphere. The semi-circles in the question is a 2D shape and will make a circle.

The edges of the circles are the the the edges.

Yes.
cans are cylinders which consist of circles so there are no edges * * * * * A cylinder has two circular edges - where the curved surface meets the plane faces that form the ends (or bases).
circles, squares, rectangles mainly... but the odd semi circles etc...
4 faces and 2 vertices.

Truck drivers like semi-circles!! haha:)
Geometry teaches there are an infinite number of semi-circles for a sphere. Hence in the grid system that creates the longitude lines that form semi-circles, it becomes the same as what is taught in geometry = infinite number. If you limit yourself to using a llimited definition to units of whole degrees, then 360 semi-circles. However, I suspect that the answer you need is Infinite.
