long
They are not. A line segment is of finite length whereas a ray is infinitely long.
No, Line Segments do not have a fixed length. A line segment can be as long as you want it to be but, it has to stop somewhere. It is not a line and so it does not continue on for-ever.

If the line segment is 1 inch shorter than the other line segment in Hopeton, then the length of the line segment would be 1 inch less than the length of the other line segment. So, if the other line segment is x inches long, then this line segment would be x - 1 inches long.
A line segment is a straight path between two points on a line. Its length is the distance between those two points.
The line segment that was two inches long had two end points.
Use a ruler, place one end at 0 and where ever the other end is, thats how long the segment is. GOOD LUCK!
A line is of infinite length, a segment is of finite length.

Yes, while naming a line segment, as long as the two points are on the line, it does not matter what order they are in or which points they are. well their not

A line segment is actually a normal line:( yes i know i couldn't believe it myself either), a real line goes on forever, (both ways up and down and never end). Whereas a line segment, has a ending at both sides no matter how long the line segment is drawn...It is still a line segment. So basically, you could draw a long line segment for the rest of your life and that would still be a line segment. So to round it off. You.Can.Never.Draw.A.Line. Sorry :}
