It depends on a large number of factors. Amongst them are:

  • the fuel efficiency of your car,
  • condition of the car - whether or not the engine is well tuned, tyre pressure etc
  • your driving style - lots of acceleration + braking or driving at a steadier speed
  • number of passengers, other load
  • whether or not aircon or heater are in use (sound/lights normally make little difference)
  • road conditions including climbs and descents
