Assuming brim-full,
30x3 = 90 ft2
30x4/2= 60ft2
90+60=150ft2
150x15=2250ft3
2250ft3 = 14014.8675 UK gallons
2250ft3 = 16831.17 US gallons
Answer:
area on top = (18x36) ft squared = 648 ft^2
vol of top section = 648x3 = 1944ft^3
vol of (bottom) diagonal section is: 0.5(36x18).(8-3) = 1620ft^3
total vol = 1944 + 1620 = 3564ft cubed
3564 (feet cubed) = 22 199.5604 Imperial gallons
what I did was split the volume of the pool into two sections and deal with them independently as two separate shapes.
That will depend on how deep you want the water to be.
Length x width x average depth*. Multiply result by 7.48 to determine volume in gallons.* 'average depth' is shallow end + deep end divided by two
Need to know the depths of the shallow and deep end, and the shape of the pool, whether it is a rectangle or kidney or irregular shaped.
18 x 36 ______ 108 540 ______ 648 gallons 18x36 = 648 square feet. Assume depth of pool 5 feet filled to brim, total volume 18x36x5 = 3240 cubic feet. 3240 multiplied by 6.22883 = 20181 UK gallons (rounded) 3240 multiplied by 7.48052 = 24237 US gallons (rounded)
You need to know the average depth of the pool. the depth of the deep end plus the depth of the shallow end divided by 2 will give an average. The formula for estimating the gallons of water is in a pool is; length times width times average depth times the multiplier 7.5 for a rectangle pool; 6.7 for a oval or free form pool. with this formula a rectangle pool 14X42 6 feet deep end and 3 feet shallow end will be approx. 19,845 gallons

About 7,100 gallons of water.
well, I figured it out and I would have to say about no more than 2000 gallons 15*30*4.5=2025(apr) I'm sorry Amber, but that is nowhere near the correct answer. If the pool is rectangle/square or freeform there are approximately 15,187.5 gallons of water. If the pool is oval or round there are approximately 11,947.5 gallons of water. To figure this out you multiply your length x width x avg. depth (shallow+deep÷2) x multiplier. Multiplier for rectangle/square/etc. 7.5 Oval or round 5.9
It depends how deep it is.
10,710. 10,710. The calculation for a rectangle pool is: ((Shallow end depth + deep end depth) / 2) * length * width) = pool volume in cubic feet Pool cubic feet * 7.5 = gallons of water the pool holds
If the pool is 8 feet in the deep end and 3 feet in the shallow end, the total volume will be about 38,507 gallons of water.
One, if the pool is shallow enough!
24,685.79 gallons
