Assuming that the joints don't leak, the box is full to the top edge, and won't break when full of water: 1 gallon = 231 cubic inches 8.5 ft = 102 inches 14.5 ft = 174 inches Volume of the box = (102 x 174 x 7) = 124,236 cubic inches = (124,236 / 231) = 537.82 gallons (rounded) = almost 4,500 pounds of water !
