  • .5" = .5" (1)

    .5" = 1.0" (2)

  • .5" = 1.5" (3)
  • .5" = 2.0" (4)
  • .5" = 2.5" (5)
  • .5" = 3.0" (6)
  • .5" = 3.5" (7)
  • .5" = 4.0" (8)

Therefore it would take 8 - .5" circles to fit into 1 - 4" circle.
