What you need is the area of the circle. Area = Pi x r squared where r is the radius.

The radius is one-half the diameter so in this case r=15 to square it, multiply it by itself ( 15 x 15 ) so r squared =225 now multiply that by 3.14 . Ans: 706.5 square inches.
