A milliliter is already a volume measurement. Cubic milliliter is not a proper term for volume.

A cubic millimeter can be used for volume, though.

A cubic millimeter = 10-6 liters or 0.000001 liters.

A milliliter = 10-3 liters or 0.001 liters.
