The distance covered while running and skiing cannot be directly equated due to the differences in terrain, speed, and effort required for each activity. However, in terms of energy expenditure, skiing is typically considered to be more intense and can burn more calories per hour compared to running. Therefore, it is not accurate to say that a specific number of miles running is equivalent to 1 mile of skiing.

Well, isn't that a happy little question! Running and skiing are both wonderful ways to move your body. While they work different muscles, generally, skiing is considered to be a more intense workout than running. So, it's hard to say exactly how many miles of running would equal 1 mile of skiing, but just know that both activities are great for your health and well-being. Just remember, there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents!

Well, honey, that's like comparing apples to Oranges. Running and skiing work different muscles and have different intensities. So, there's no direct conversion from miles running to miles skiing. Just enjoy the workout and don't worry about the math!

Skiing would be measured along the slope, whereas running is usually measured by the distance covered irrelevant of terrain.

I am not a good skier, so I ski almost horizontally, so 1 mile skiing would be almost 1 mile running. FOr a good skier, 1 mile skiing could be 2/3 mile running.
