major arc
No. Given two points on a circle, the minor arc is the shortest arc linking them. The major arc is the longest.
A sector of a circle would fit the given description
an arc
The area outside of an angle is called an arc, all angles can be turned into circles and therefore their interior is the measurement and their exterior is an arc. The area in which an angle lies is called a plane of space.
Thay are three points, or three-pointers
three
2 points.
.free throw .shot made inside the 3-pt arc .a shot made outside the 3-pt arc.......
It could be many things! 1. the arc of your shot, which is the point from when the ball leaves your hand to the point it reaches the basket. If your arc isn't right, your shot could be too flat or too high and looped and shooting percentage is lowered. 2. the 3-point line is often refered to as the arc in basketball, including in the NBA/WNBA. If you score from outside the 'arc', you get three points instead of two. Hope I helped! :)
one if it's a foul, two if the game is going.
Two points for a bucket inside the arc, 3 points for shots made outside the 3 point arc and one point for a free throw
Any points scored within the three point arc is 2 points. Beyond the arc is 3 points and foul shots are each worth 1 point. Also if you are fouled while taking a hot and you make the basket, however many points that was it counts plus you get one foul shot.
Shots from behind the free-throw line are 1 point each. Shots from inside the arc are 2 points each, and shots scored outside the arc are 3 points each.
3 points for a shot taken behind the arc. 2 points for all other shots taken. 1 point for a free throw.
major arc
In basketball, there is a half-circle drawn on the court (the 3 point line) with the center of the circle at the basket. Shots made from outside that half-circle are awarded 3 points, while shots inside that circle are awarded 2 points.
