"Decimal" is not a unit of length. In fact, it's a description of a kind of numbers,

and isn't a unit of any measurement at all. So there's certainly nothing there that

can be converted to a unit of area.

Well, holy moly ! I am corrected, embarrassed, remorseful, and apologetic.

A decimal (also spelled decimel) is a unit of area in India and Bangladesh,

roughly equal to 1/100 acre.

After metrication by both countries in the mid-20th Century, the unit officially

became obsolete. However, it's still in use, especially among the rural population

in Northern Bangladesh and West Bengal.

1 acre = 43,560 square feet

1/100 acre = 435.6 square feet

1.75 of them = 762.3 square feet
