of square feet.

"Feet" is a length or distance, like a piece of rope or a trip to the store.

"Square feet" is an area, like your back yard or the floor of your room.

Neither one can convert to the other one.

If length could convert into area, then you'd be able to figure out

how many acres tall you are.
