First Answer: 400,000 square metres is roughly equal to 4,000,000 square feet

Second Answer:
400,000 meters = 4,305,564' and 24"

Explanation why the first answer is correct:
As you know, one metre is about three feet, plus about three and a quarter inches.
So you get a big, 1m squared tile, and start covering it with square foot tiles: nine tiles fit on there easily.
But there's a strip about 3.25 inches wide on two sides of the big tile, so you cut one square foot tile into strips and they just fit nicely.
One metre squared is roughly ten square feet.
