One tenth is the same as 1 divided into 10 pieces.Lets say we have a whole pie, and we cut it into equal tenths...how many pieces would there be?...10!So 10 tenths make up one wholeOROne tenth = 0.10.1 x 10 = 1 whole!
Three ! The answer is in the question !

I assume it is five units and five tenths? Five units simply means five of something whole: for example, five whole pies. Five tenths means a pie is cut into ten slices, therefore five tenths is a half of a pie. So the answer must be five and a half units!
You can cut a round cake into eight parts with three cuts, but you can't cut a circle into eight parts with three straight lines.
Three and a half
you get a knife and cut it
OK. Think about it. 0.3 is three tenths. 0.5 is five tenths. If you take a board and cut it into ten equal-sized pieces, you have tenths. So.... would three of those tenths be bigger or smaller than five of those tenths? Smaller.
No, seven tenths 7/10 is bigger than three tenths 3/10. If you had a pie cut into ten slices, would you rather have 7 pieces or 3? If you had 7 of those pieces, or 7/10 seven tenths, you'd have more of the pie than 3/10.
10
7/10 is larger than 3/10. If you had a pie cut into 10 pieces, (which is all the 'tenths' part means, a whole cut into 10 equal parts), and you were really hungry and ate 7/10 (seven slices out of 10) you'd be more full than if you ate 3/10 of the slices, or 3 of the 10.
Cut it down.
They are completely different fruits. There aren't any oranges in a pineapple unless you've hollowed it out and put the oranges inside. If so, then I'd guess 2 or 3, depending on the size of the oranges. If you cut them, then even more would fit!
Naranja is the Spanish word for orange, the citrus fruit. Obtain some oranges and cut them up.
Fourths are much bigger than tenths. They are so much bigger that it only takes FOUR of them to make one whole something. Tenths are smaller; it takes TEN of them to make the same whole something. Make 2 identical strawberry rhubarb pies. Cut one into FOUR equal pieces. Cut the other into TEN equal pieces. If you give out a piece from the one cut into 4 pieces, and a piece from the one cut into 10 pieces, which piece will be larger? The first pie is cut into fourths, and the second is cut into tenths.
